Our Best Friends since Antiquity

The value of a dog cannot be measured. From Antiquity to present, dogs have performed many roles for people. From hunting to herding, from protection to assisting police and military, and lately helping handicapped individuals;  these are just a few examples of how dogs are an integral part of our society.

Health benefits for Humans

Earlier studies have shown that people who keep pet dogs or cats exhibit better mental and physical health than those who do not, making fewer visits to the doctor and being less likely to be on medication than non-guardians of dogs.

Research has found that dog owners have less minor health problems almost immediately after acquiring a dog.

Dogs can reduce stress, anxiety and depression, ease loneliness and make you exercise therefore improving your cardiovascular health. The benefits of dog ownership of older people, if they live alone,  or people who have experienced a major health event have been proven immeasurable. Not only they live longer, but the live happier lives.

Why?

Because put it simply, they are the only creatures that offer us unconditional love and caring.
